Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 May 2026

World Visa Directory ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information lawfully, fairly and transparently. This policy explains what we collect, why, the legal basis we rely on, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the United States CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.

1. Data controller

The data controller for personal information collected through worldvisadirectory.com is World Visa Directory. You can contact us at leadstosales1@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

  • Information you give us: first name and email when you request the UK ETA Complete Guide or subscribe to updates; any details you submit through our contact form.
  • Consent metadata: the exact wording you agreed to, the consent version, the date and time of your consent, the page you submitted from, and a truncated browser identifier (user-agent). We store this so we can prove your consent if required.
  • Usage data: aggregated, non-identifying analytics about how the site is used.

3. Why we use it and the legal basis

  • To deliver the resource you requested (e.g. emailing the guide) — performance of a service you asked for.
  • To send you related travel-rules updates — your explicit, opt-in consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You ticked an unticked box and can withdraw consent at any time.
  • To answer your enquiries — our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To comply with law — including keeping records of consent and unsubscribe requests.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. How long we keep it

We keep subscriber records for as long as you remain subscribed and for up to 24 months after you unsubscribe so we can demonstrate compliance with consent and suppression obligations. Purchase records are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law (typically 6–7 years).

5. Processors we rely on

We use carefully selected providers to operate the site: Lovable Cloud (hosting and secure database storage), our email delivery provider, and Stripe (payments). Each operates under its own privacy terms and signed data-processing agreements where applicable.

6. International transfers

Some of our processors are located outside the EEA/UK. Where that is the case, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk).

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@worldvisadirectory.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Email and CAN-SPAM

We comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. Every commercial email we send:

  • identifies who the message is from with a truthful "From", "To" and routing header;
  • uses a non-deceptive subject line;
  • is clearly identifiable as a commercial message where applicable;
  • includes our valid physical postal address;
  • provides a clear, working one-click unsubscribe link, honoured within 10 business days.

To unsubscribe, click the link at the bottom of any email or write to unsubscribe@worldvisadirectory.com. Once you unsubscribe we add your address to a suppression list so we do not contact you again for marketing.

Postal address: World Visa Directory, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom

9. Cookies and affiliate links

We use only essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.

Some outbound links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination merchant or its affiliate network may set their own cookies on your device to attribute the referral. We do not share any personal information with affiliate networks. See our affiliate disclosure for details.

10. Children

The site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any material changes here and update the "Last updated" date above.
